Thank you for another brilliant read. The Democrats tend to shoot themselves in the foot with the get Trump business. The only thing the Dems have going for themselves is the Republicans usually shoot themselves in both feet. At this point the only way that Biden can win is if he can rally the dead person vote. it’s indeed possible since the dead look at Biden as one of their own.
"It’s indeed possible since the dead look at Biden as one of their own." He's looking so well preserved these days, I think Jill will even save on embalming, if the Dems don't "accidentally" throw him in a casket before Election Day.
While it’s hard to blame a demented puppet like Biden who is probably kept in cryogenic freeze in between appearances, it’s easy to be disgusted by Dr Jill, who is the only known doctor of “baby sitting” with a minor in fashion.
My hunch - HUNCH - is that Trump is the winner of the general election in November, and the electoral college in December - not because more than enough independents decided to vote for him in protest, but because so many who would have voted for Sleepy Creepy Pedo JoeBama voted instead for RFK, Jr.; or Cornel West, Ph.D.; or Jill Stein; or our dog.
In 2016, poll respondents said one thing: "I'm with HER!", but did another: voted for HIM!
The most honest and legitimate polling will show Trump with an edge well within the margin of error, but it will still be less reliable than Joe Isuzu. In any event, do not be surprised if 2016 repeats itself.
Even IF Trump should manage to win in December, whether he is allowed to be sworn in is another matter.
With the 3rd World War taking place at this moment (although the mass media and the government deny it), another monkey wrench is thrown down Jill Biden's gaping maw. There are a million things that can happen before November and it's silly to assume anything. Will the nation re-elect a puppet/corpse because we are at war or will the nation realize he is a fool and a traitor in the next five months?
This is why I read your Substack. You honestly try to get “the rest of the story”, as was once said.
Thanks for using my take. Unknown to me when I wrote that my attorney was traveling out East. I spoke with him yesterday and he mentioned the verdict. He was in the Chicago airport when it was announced. His comment to me was that no one gathered around the tvs to watch it. He found that somewhat odd. He came to the same place that I was at.
My take on voting population is this. One third of R voters are hard core MAGA. By that I mean TRUMPERS. You know, “Jesus has his hand on Trump’s shoulder”. On the other end you’ve got another group. I support DeSantis and will write him in. There are a number of us all over the country. There are Haley supporters that will do likewise for her. I don’t know what the actual percentages are. The middle are people who can tolerate Trump, or maybe not but will vote for him because he’s the nominee. I suspect you might be able to parse the D side better than me but I do have some ideas.
I do know something about the D operation though. They, unlike the Rs generally have a plan. They have already purchased much of the prime tv time in Sept and Oct preceding the election with the goal of cutting Rs out of that space. Until I am shown different I have to believe their ballot collection game is vastly superior. Their network is generally superior and has been for a long time.
All that being said is this is happening with five months to go until the election. That’s an eternity. There are so many factors at play. Can Trump keep his victimhood going for five more months. Make no mistake. That is his strategy and has been all along. It’s been bringing in money and there’s no reason to end it. How long will these small donors be able to keep reaching into their pockets. I don’t know. The Ds will have a lot to say on that.
This thing is not over by any stretch. I’m still having a hard time believing Joe is going to be around. What happens/doesn’t happen with the first debate will be telling. Can’t wait for part 2.
I used your take because it was the best summation of something I suspected. Thank you for it.
I suspect that D's are pretty much like R's. When I worked at the college, I knew a lot of Democrats. They could excuse anything. I remember a discussion I had with a really close friend about Obamacare and how it was a sell out to the medical industry. She told me Obama had no choice. He was threatened. We were still very good friends, but she was an example. She was incredibly smart and jaded, but still, you couldn't break her out of that mindset. It's independents I tend to think more about because that's what I am, and I know I'm feeling highly ambivalent about this election. It really does come down to Trump's VP pick for me.
And, no, I don't see Joe Biden making it to November, but *shrug* I didn't see him making it the last time, and here we are.
I have no idea who his VP pick will be. I used to think Noem but that was shot down. Pardon the pun. Trump will tolerate some intelligence and drive in hot women but not men. He usually goes with betas there. See Pence. Tim Scott kind of fits that but who knows. You’re right though. It’s important. If I was him I would start spending some of this money hitting home at issues, not I’m a victim. That’s working with the base but not in suburbia where I live. I live in ND so you know that’s hardly a blue bastion and they still don’t care. 1200 people decided the primary. That’s not many even for here.
It's possible I'm an anomaly - as he's the only one who is championing my interests, he has my vote - so, I guess I'm a Trumper (technically), but I find the cult members who truly do believe Jesus has his hand on Trump's shoulder (as you put it so well) as insufferable as the Q'Anon crowd that contends he's eight moves ahead of the deep state in a game of 4D chess...
He's every bit the flawed human as anyone else - he HAS managed to incure the wrath and scorn of the right people, though...
I probably was where you are now back in 2016. There were four people in the company who supported Trump. I felt he as an outsider and a business guy would be more likely to accomplish substantial achievements. I didn’t particularly care about his morals, I wanted some proficiency in a governmental capacity. I didn’t get that at all. Yes gas prices were lower, blah, blah, blah. No new wars…not exactly true. He pushed Ukraine further than Obama did, accelerated in Syria, droned Solemani, and on and on.
Yes he had things stacked against him initially. He did nothing to help himself. How many documents did he say he was going to unredact about how many things. As a President he has to have certain powers but didn’t use any of them. He got played like a drum.
We did get justice initiatives from Kanye and Kim so all our drug dealers could get released. Don’t forget the Jenner wing of the R party. We’re inclusive cause we’ve got our own mentally ill wing.
Then Covid hit and everything really went south. He turned what little power he was using over to Birx, Fauci and Jivanka. That was the end for me. I don’t see what you guys see in how this is somehow going to be different this time.
He’s going to get revenge you might say. Who is going to be his instrument to do that. The DOJ certainly won’t. The military told him to “piss off” last time. The faithful scream he’s going to get rid of whole branches of govt. employees and deport 20 million illegals. Lol. Would someone else be able to accomplish anything. I have no idea but I would like to see. DeSantis has accomplished more in Florida than Trump ever has. He’s more process oriented and doesn’t need to be constantly stroked.
It would be nice to think that he will be elected and it will be a new dawn but I’ve seen nothing to indicate that. There are many changes that need to be affected to initiate a directional change in this country. Neither of these candidates are going to do anything close to what is needed. Another food fight for the next four years is not what’s needed. But that seems to be what a large portion of the electorate wants. I’m sure Catturd will crank out some cool memes. Sad!
One interesting thing I'd like to note in fallout from The Verdict: Not one single City nor any Two-Horse Town saw any Mostly Peaceful Protests. Bodegas and Great Big Hay Bales Hit Least Hardest!
I'm not rooting for a side - well, I want MY side to win - but why is it, no matter how awful and evil and just, you know, mean they are, the right just doesn't end up burning other people's stuff?
The thing I found most refreshing about J6--and I know I'll end up on a "list somewhere"--is that those people understood exactly where the problem was and they went there. It seemed to me a more healthy approach than burning their own neighborhoods. But what do I know?
Oh, my friend. I'm here regularly. You've long been on The List.
"It seemed to me a more healthy approach than burning their own neighborhoods"
I think many of the Protestors are really from those neighborhoods. They're not theirs. That's why they have so little respect for the places and properties. They'll just pick up and leave when the protest is over.
"If anyone ever tells you that we need more 'feminine energy' in politics, just show them that clip. They take cattiness and woman-child to a whole new level."
My mom tried telling me the other night that the reason we have all of these intractable wars going on is because everything is run by men - implying that if we were to get women into office, it would all be better.
"What about Victoria Nuland?" I asked.
"Who?" she asked.
Rather than screaming, like I was in my head, I tried to explain that Nuland was a disciple of DIck Cheney, and a professional shit-stirrer for the State Department. The larger point was lost - women are just as prone to evil as men.
I don't mean to offend any women reading this, but I'm beginning to think we are witnessing the fruits of a growing Matriarchy, epitomized by the harpies on "The View" (my sincere admiration to those who can sit through even 2 minutes of that shit-show).
Slander, innuendo, Machiavellianism, the petty vindictiveness of those without any real political power--these ways of asserting influence from the days before feminism and the women's movement have not left the female bag of tricks just because women are enjoying more power and influence.
Indeed, the entire social justice/critical theory/neo-Marxist project issues from our universities which are dominated by women who have roosted primarily in the social sciences and the humanities (especially English, the diseased womb of multiculturalism, academic feminism and critical theory).
Simone de Beauvoir, Iris Marion Young, Toril Moi, Miranda Fricker, Pamela Sue Anderson (not the media bimbo), Sara Ahmed, Alia Al-Saji, Toni Morrison, Audre Lorde, Alice Walker, Hortense J. Spillers, Saidiya V. Hartman, Judith Butler, Susan Stryker are just a few eggheads of academic feminism, the font of critical social justice rivaled only by the all-male (though female in temperament) Frankfurt School on the neo-Marxist front.
Any reform in politics must also deal with the academic cadre. Christopher Rufo and others are on the case, so maybe we'll eventually see a pendulum swing without needing a Soviet- or Nazi-style purge.
We have been in a matriarch for a long time and the best evidence is that on average women live like 10 years longer than men. Nothing in the material world is more important than survival and being alive.
Second, they have managed to get equality and preference for things that want but not things they don’t want; they noticeably have not lobbied for conscription of females. :D

"It really does come down to Trump's VP pick for me."
Because that's the most likely person to be president by 2028.
I like JD Vance quite a bit.
He'd be one I would vote for.
We are in agreement!
I have no idea who his VP pick will be. I used to think Noem but that was shot down. Pardon the pun. Trump will tolerate some intelligence and drive in hot women but not men. "Trump will tolerate some intelligence and drive in hot women but not men."
Oh. So Vance is out, I guess. Too bad.
He’s probably the best of the people I’ve seen listed. Trump doesn’t typically like competent men though.

Re: People don't care.
I don't think it's just at the federal level. I think people have lost nearly all faith in the system and in institutions and have checked out.
Only about 100,000 people voted in the Baltimore City Mayoral race a few weeks ago out of a city of 585k.
You are correct. I voted in the last school board election here. There were very few voters.
"You just need some carefully placed fraud."
And her smirk when she said that, dag, that was infuriating. Like she knows all the viewers know, too.
"Just as long as we can keep it close going into November..." *wink, wink*

Well, if that isn't the pot calling the kettle Divisive.

Of course they are. Look at Hillary Clinton (though to be honest, I've always wondered if she's really a woman. I mean, I know what they say . . .).
"One day Biden’s handlers will get smart and put a remote shocking device in his pants"
I have just the thing!
I finally have a meaningful way to contribute positively to society.

You're not insulting me. I look at a lot of the women in politics and media and just cringe.
Since motherhood is out among the globalist plutocrat set, I think Karentocracy is more appropriate than Matriarchy.
I must respectfully take issue as my loving wife's name is Karen. 😶
Fair enough!
The exception that proves the rule!
