The Elephant and Ass Show rolls on, as Trump takes on Laura Ingraham and MTG, Democrats get what they want really out of the shutdown, and the Israel worship takes some odd turns. Happy FFS Friday!
Laura Ingraham, is the Nolan Ryan, of Lead-Filled Dodge Ball Throwers.
I was really expecting something different from Trump 2.0 No expectations had been fulfilled as of this writing. Unfortunately, the choices in '24 were "bad" and "worse". Vote harder in '28 I guess...
MTG calling out Trump on his Epstein connections takes real courage. When she says stupid and folish things happen when leaders ignore their base, she's hitting a nerve that needs to be touched. The whole shutdown saga really exposed how both sides play games while ordinary folks suffer the consequnces. Its fasinating how someone like Greene can be both criticized and proven right at the same time.
Lillia, in my mind I have this image of you sitting behind your computer (with reading glasses on) working late into Thursday night scouring the dark corners of the web looking for these insane nuggets of hypocrisy for your FFS Friday article. When I read these nuggets I think WTH is going on in this world.
Watching Trump's interview with Laura Ingram made me livid. He totally dissed all Americans, to our face. I think I am most disappointed in myself for voting for him. Buyers remorse? And Trump throwing down the race card to justify bringing in Chinese students. WTH! Do Chinese students go to historically black colleges and universities? Sorry, but that dog don't hunt.
It's no wonder our military men and women are coming down with PTSD. The leader of the group they were told is the enemy, and watched him kill their fellow compatriots, is now the being honored by our president. Sad.
You might want to stop pointing out the duplicity of our media, influencers, and politicians that support Israel at any and all cost. Their going to call you Antiseptic and cancel you!!
I don't need the dark corners of the web. All I need is TwiX, Ground News, and a few other outlets, sadly.
I don't have buyer's remorse about Trump because I went through Obama. This is the world we live in. We all do our best (yes, even those who voted for Kamala or one of the third party candidates or just stayed home in protest). We just need to stop deluding ourselves that the answer lies in one of the two parties. Voting is only about damage control until something either changes for the better or the whole house burns down.
Gotta love those northern lights. Should have been great over your way. Our annual Christmas Tour of the Senior Centers kicks off on Thanksgiving. I got my tickets for The Nutcracker at NDSU. Life isn’t so bad.
We didn’t get to see them. My sister did, over at her place, and sent me pictures. I don’t know if we just couldn’t get far enough out of town or when we went out of town they had stopped a bit. Kind of frustrating. We made a pact to go to the mountains next time they’re predicted if we can get into the cabin for the night.
We’re going to see Forbidden Broadway, Christmas version, on December 6th at the Alberta Bair. The niece loves musicals. Strange kid, but wonderful kid.
And, no, life is what you make of it, so not so bad.
I saw that. I didn’t write about it because I didn’t know enough, but it’s on the list to look into. It seems pretty ridiculous and cruel on its face, but then we saw what Canada became during COVID.

I tend to agree with George Carlin (I think): If voting made any difference, they wouldn’t let you do it.
I don’t know how we get out of this.

You’ve hit on the thing that’s irritating people: both sides play games and ordinary folks suffer.

Eh, to cancel me, they'd have to notice me.😉

Yeah, we drove north of town. That makes a difference. If you’re going to Canada watch out. They’ve traded clubbing seals in for shooting Ostriches.
